Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing CAE Cluster, creating a job, or approving a quote, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Service

CAE Cluster provides a web portal for submitting supported engineering simulation projects, selecting a compute profile, monitoring queued and running jobs, and downloading results. Jobs are executed on managed solver hosts in queue order, subject to compatibility, availability, validation, and approved resource limits.

3. Accounts

You must use an account you are authorized to control and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity performed through your session and must promptly report suspected unauthorized access. The service is not intended for users under 18 years of age.

4. Projects and permitted use

You retain your rights in uploaded projects and results. You grant us a limited right to copy, transmit, validate, process, and store them solely to provide and secure the service. You must have all rights and permissions required to submit the files.

You may not use CAE Cluster to:

• upload malicious code, unlawful material, or data that infringes third-party rights;
• bypass access controls, quotas, queue order, metering, or security mechanisms;
• interfere with the service, solver hosts, other users, or connected infrastructure;
• use results or compute resources in violation of applicable law.

5. Quotes, billing, and promotions

The applicable list rate and compute profile are presented for approval before a paid solver run begins. Charges are based on recorded solver time and the approved terms. Queue time, uploads, and result packaging are not billed unless expressly stated in a quote.

During the current beta promotion, an eligible promo code provides a 100% discount on covered solver usage for jobs whose solver run starts by September 30, 2026. The underlying list price and usage record remain visible. Promotions may have eligibility conditions, do not create a cash balance, and cannot be exchanged for money.

6. Engineering results

Simulation results depend on the submitted model, settings, software behavior, numerical methods, and compute environment. You are responsible for reviewing and validating results before using them in engineering, manufacturing, safety, regulatory, or commercial decisions. CAE Cluster does not provide a warranty that a job will converge or that results are accurate, complete, fit for a particular purpose, or suitable for safety-critical use.

7. File retention

Input and result files are retained for 30 days after completion, failure, or cancellation and are then scheduled for deletion. You are responsible for downloading and independently backing up all required results before the retention period ends.

8. Beta availability

The service is in beta and may contain defects, experience interruptions, or change without prior notice. We may reject, pause, cancel, or rerun jobs when required for validation, maintenance, security, or resource management. We may suspend access for misuse or a material breach of these terms.

9. Intellectual property and names

The CAE Cluster interface, service software, and branding are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. CAE Cluster is an independent compute service and is not affiliated with Ansys, Inc. Third-party product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

10. Disclaimer and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages, or for losses caused by user configuration, unsupported files, external software, network failures, or failure to download files before deletion. Rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.

11. Changes and contact
